Do Not Be Deceived!  #YourLifeMatters

My heart is filled with compassion and anger as I look around at what our society is today and the anxiety and pain we are enduring and unknowingly inflicted on others. Adult women act as children and young women act older than they should trying to project an image that is unrealistic and ultimately a lie. It is as if the Bible was written TODAY!

Where is the peace in our hearts and lives?

Where is the security we should have in Christ?

Why are we so desperate for acknowledgment from people who do not care or love us?

BECAUSE WE DO NOT KNOW WHO WE ARE OR OUR VALUE TO OUR LORD!

We have traded the truth of what GOD says about us and clothed ourselves in lies from this present age.

2 Timothy 1:5 AMP

"But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them."

Everything appears to be out of balance. Suicide is running rampant and taking lives because of the lies and deceptions spread on social media, and the false impressions shared by millions of disillusioned moms, wives, sisters and friends.

I feel compassion for the youth and old alike who ingest social media images several times a day without limit or understanding of how it is shaping their view of the world or themselves. This is dangerous.

I feel anger that the prince of the power of the air is causing people to be depressed and even resort to suicide based on what they see. This is heartbreaking. Every single person will meet the Creator upon their death - whether they believe in him or not makes no difference.

Just because you see the large home and perfect family photos of your "friend" does not mean anything! You do not know the secret struggles and pressures they hide. You don't hear their hearts cry that despite all they have they still feel inadequate and empty inside. Yet many are digesting this poison daily and developing insecurities based on lies.

We continue to see suicide taking lives daily because people are overwhelmed with life and trying to show forth perfection which does not exist.

NO ONE IS PERFECT! Everyone goes to the bathroom; blow their noses and will ultimately return to the dust. I do not care how expensive their clothing or vehicles are or the myriad of photos they overshare on the internet.

We are being fed poison and willingly accept it and unknowingly share it with our children and within our homes. Marriages are falling apart and children are going without a present mother because we have to take 15 selfies a day and share every single moment with strangers.

Children need present mothers who engage with them more than the 15 minutes it takes to prop them up for a photo. Instead of being present, we are bringing strangers into our homes and losing our grip on reality. The internet is a wonderful resource for many things, but it is being weaponized by the enemy of our souls to destroy relationships, plant lies in our hearts, puff us up with pride, and slowly take over our lives. It is becoming an idol that slowly invades the hearts and minds of people before destruction.

Stop believing the lies and embrace the truth.

Jesus is truth.

His love is truth, and He does not want anyone to prematurely leave this earth based on what they are feeling or perceiving. These feelings come from the enemy of our souls and seek to steal, kill and destroy. Suicide is not the answer!

As peculiar women, let us strive for the Biblical examples of Godliness and completely abandon the rudiments of this present age to save our families. Our influence in our homes and our communities requires our complete focus and attention. Let us keep all things in their proper place so that we can hear, "well done" from our Creator, the only person whose approval has any influence on our lives here and in eternity.

The likes, the comments and addiction for approval by others is dangerous and deadly. May the Lord give us understanding and help us.
